The Wrath of DLL Errors

DLL files, abbreviated for Dynamic Link Libraries, are critical components to running Windows operating systems. These libraries are data resources used by the operating systems and running applications. When Windows is being installed, thousands of system files and DLL files are added, which will be used for applications and tasks.

It’s possible to have multiple applications share a set of DLL files – the problem starts when an application requires a customized DLL file, but is shared with another application. The other application does not recognize the customized DLL file, which results in a DLL error. Even worse is “DLL Hell” – this is a conflict when two or more applications share a DLL, but do not recognize the version installed. The most common DLL error is a missing DLL file in the Windows operating system. This can happen when a software application forgets to remove the DLL file or un-share it. This can result in seeing a pop-up error message, or in the worst case, the dreaded “Blue Screen of Death”.

If you get a DLL error, the best course of action is to find out what that missing file is. The easiest way to do that is to use RegCure and DriverCure to automate that process, as finding a missing system file can be a very tedious task, and could even lead to more problems if not fixed correctly. Download RegCure for Free, run a scan on your computer and within a few minutes and some clicks, RegCure will find and fix your errors!
